You are often unappreciated. We do a lot of unkind things to you, when we aren't ignoring you. Please let me say,

| For mountain sunsets, |
 |
| and ocean sunrises; |
 |
| For autumn leaves, |
 |
| and spring renewal; |
 |
| For mighty rivers, |
 |
| and serene beaches; |
 |
| For spring bulbs, |
 |
| and wildflowers, |
 |
| and wedding flowers; |
 |
| For chipmunks, |
 |
| and marmots; |
 |
| For powerful geysers, |
 |
| that mysteriously grow quiet again; |
 |
| For seashells, |
 |
| and shark teeth, |
 |
| and stingrays; |
 |
For giraffes, |
 |
| bugs, |
 |
| bison, |
 |
| and lichen; |
 |
| For massive waterfalls, |
 |
| and clouds; |
 |
| For babies, |
 |
| toddlers, |
 |
| and puppies; |
 |
| for healing our war torn battlefields, |
 |
| and reminding us of our insignificance, |
 |
| and for being resilient, |
 |
| and for creatures great and small, wild and tame, |
 |
| Thank you. |
