The Importance of Toys

Toys are magical. They can be simple or complicated. They can be a catalyst for interaction or enjoyed alone.
Toys develop imagination and coordination.
Toys lead to laughter, wagging, smiling, loving.
Toys build brains and keep bodies busy.
Everybody - every dog - needs toys!

A stick is cheaply and easily replaced when it is worn out!

This stuffed toy belonged to our children when they were small. It was Toby's favorite until the sad day he figured out how to open it.

Toby's friend Ryan sent him this raccoon so he could pretend he was a wolf...
In his Halloween costume Toby seemed to think Mareto was an animated stuffed toy.  Mareto sometimes seemed to think the same thing about Toby!
Play with a ropy toy ends in a cuddle.
You can never have too many toys.
Toys (if durable enough) can keep a dog out of trouble.
A wily dog can use his toys to teach the humans to fetch for him.

Brainteaser toys are fun even when they're too easy, as long as there are treats hidden inside!

Toys are not frivolous luxuries.
Toys make life happier, because
toys make love happen.

Gotta love those dog toys! Love the photos!
Over here, Toby and Meadow both LOVE toys, sticks, paper towel rolls - anything they can get their paws on - but Leah has one toy, and one toy only. If it goes missing, we have to tear apart the yard to find it for her or she won't play.

I forgot about paper towel rolls! Leah's toy must be pretty special...

Snoopy I got a new one yesterday, a giant mutant squirrel thing with like a dozen squeakers...took HOURS to chew all those babies outa there! As for Mareto, I saw him today and he gave me one of his OREOS...wow those are good! Your friend Toby
ps. mom says oreos and all chocolate are bad for dogs so they didn't let him give me any more :/
